I was going to do another best of Etsy round up this week, but that was before I discovered Swell Farewell’s latest lot of plus size vintage pieces. For the record, this isn’t sponsored. I bought three pieces from Kate and paid for them all – two of them are featured in the previous post and one will be featured when it’s not 105 degrees here in New Orleans. However, it’s rare to find so many great and unworn vintage dresses in the same place, so this week the roundup will be devoted completely to Swell Farewell Vintage’s latest offerings. We’ll be back to the regularly scheduled best of style roundup next week.
If you are a 36 inch waist or so, you can hit the jackpot this week and add some amazing vintage pieces to your collection. These pieces are pricier, but they are all unworn and in amazing condition. Most of these are 50’s, with some great details and prints that make these pieces really special.

I really love the floral print on this dress as well as the scalloped neckline. It’s an unusual floral that would work well year round and match with lots of different things.

Who can resist a dress with pineapples on it? This is a nice subtle print due to the size of the pineapples and would be very wearable for multiple occasions. It also has that great 50’s collar and pocket detailing.

This is a nice ditzy floral print in a useful set of colors. I love dresses that I can mix and match various accent colors with to get more wear out of them.

This dress has a four foot sweep to the skirt, which means it would be truly impressive with a big petticoat underneath it. If you can’t get enough of those giant 50’s skirts, this is your dress.

This is a really unusual print in a fun color palette. This would be great as a winter statement dress with the right accessories.

This is a different colorway of dress several pictures up. Check out that amazing looped collar!

Another cute basic that will work for lots of seasons and with lots of different accessories.

I love the ease of zip front dresses and this hot pink collar is beautiful!

The third dress I bought from this lot was a pink and purple plaid. I love plaids, especially when they come in unconventional color ways. This dress is sweet, interesting and basic enough to be a wardrobe staple.

Another blue based plaid that would make a great everyday dress this fall. I love the giant pockets!

This tan geometric print dress is really unusual and pretty! I know several people who gravitate to tan dresses and lament how hard they are to find, so this should be a find for someone.

And finally, the quintessential pretty pink floral dress. This dress is so typically 50’s. This would be perfect this last bit of heat we’re having until autumn.
